The first Photokina day is now history

22/09/2010 The first exciting photokina day is now history, and we welcomed numerous visitors to our stand. The models, cars and the master images at the Visual Gallery all generated considerable attention.

Many visitors were so fascinated that they can hardly wait to have their own copies of the Hasselblad Masters Vol. 2 – Emotion book. Additionally, we were delighted to receive the TIPA-Award for Best Medium Format D-System for our H4D-40 camera. The 40 megapixel H4D-40 and its groundbreaking True Focus with APL (Absolute Position Lock) was chosen for this esteemed award by editors of more than two dozen of the most well-respected photography magazines from around the world.

Hands-on Shooting at Fashion Stage.

In addition to its True Focus and APL technological innovations, "making auto-focus easier and more accurate for photo professionals," TIPA noted that "The H4D series has been designed to meet the demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in both image quality and performance. "Hasselblad CEO and Chairman, Dr. Larry Hansen excepted the TIPA-Award at the evenings ceremony at photokina.

Today’s focus will be on the press conference introducing our new products and software applications, with full details being released in our Press Lounge at press.hasselblad.com.

We are proud of the people behind our exciting innovations, and so our Hasselblad Knowledge Center will once again give visitors the opportunity to speak to the engineers personally responsible for developing our high-end technology. The entire developer team is ready to take your questions and share their insights into the technical aspects of Hasselblad products and our Hasselblad Phocus software. Product management director Peter Stig-Nielsen is delighted with the great interest in Hasselblad products he has experienced so far: “I’m really enjoying being bombarded with questions like this. It’s unbelievable how many fans Hasselblad has.”
