The opening of Photokina 2010

21/09/2010 After a long period of careful preparation, the big day has finally arrived: the opening of photokina 2010. We are looking forward to giving you insights into the world of Hasselblad from the 21st through to the 26th of September 2010.

The fair may be located in Cologne, Germany, but the Hasselblad presence in Hall 2.1, Booth A-021 features a taste of Paris. Renowned fashion photographer Tom Hagemeyer is recreating the glamorous world of the Parisian cabaret on Hasselblad’s own stage, complete with models in stunning burlesque costumes and striking lighting and fog effects.

Shooting exotic automotive technology is at least as exciting a challenge as working with high-fashion models, and so we are also presenting one of the most distinctive sports cars of our time, the Ferrari California, to great effect on our specially-designed set. Renowned Ferrari photographer Guenther Raupp and professional automobile photographer Roberto Bigano are holding 30-minute master classes five times a day in which visitors can learn the tricks of the trade and get to know the setup and shooting techniques firsthand from the pros.

The presentation of the ten 2009 Hasselblad Masters images promises to be a further visual highlight. Visit the photokina Visual Gallery and enjoy the superb large-format prints of the Emotion images. Today we will also be presenting our Hasselblad Masters Vol. 2 – Emotion book, which features a broad range of interpretations of the topic on 240 pages. For those of you who will not be able to see the images in person at the Visual Gallery, this book can be ordered at www.teneues.com.

All this and more awaits you at the Hasselblad stand at photokina 2010, and we would be delighted to welcome you there personally.
