‘Hasselblad Presents’ seminars with contemporary photo-icons

20/09/2012 This week at the ‘Hasselblad Presents’ seminars at photokina delegates have been enthralled by thirty minute talks and workshops from some of the true greats in the photography world today: and there’s still more to come.

Documentary photographer Jon Lowenstein (Hasselblad Master 2012: Editorial) whose images confront power, poverty and violence; Tim Flach, world-acclaimed photographer best known for his highly conceptual pictures of animals; Belgian Fine Art photographer Tom. D. Jones (Hasselblad Master 2012: Landscapes) and highly skilled portraitist August Bradley (Hasselblad Master 2008) have all given seminars since the fair opened on Tuesday.

Today’s programme features Timothy Hogan, an American advertising photographer/lighting wizard with a penchant for still-life and beauty photography and highly talented photo-duo Andreana Scanderbeg and Alexander Sauer (whose work is also published in the new VICTOR Magazine.)

And if you haven’t been able to get to one of these compelling seminars don’t give up. You can still ask at the Hasselblad booth to check if there are any last minute places still available for our Friday seminar programme featuring Adrian Houston and Stuart Weston.

Adrian Houston, whose stunning images for the celebrated Mr & Mrs Smith series of travel guides helped put the brand on the map, is one of the UK’s most talented and successful photographers. His exceptional eye for detail, and his meticulous and creative yet relaxed approach, earned him a number of high profile commissions from the Sultan of Pahang, to the Dalai Lama, and Jim Carrey.

Stuart Weston has been a photographer for almost 27years. His client list is long and varied having shot for clients, such as L'Oreal (New York, Paris and London), Vogue Brazil, 125 Magazine, Harrods, and artists such as the late, immensely talented guitarist Gary Moore, Robbie Williams, Shola Amah and most recently Skunk Anansie for their album "Black Traffic" due for release this month.

You can watch videos of all the seminars we’ve run so far on htv.hasselblad.com.
