One hot night for the cool set in Tokyo

22/08/2012 Nobody parties quite like Hasselblad.

We teamed with lighting specialist Profoto from Sweden and Shutter Magazine to throw one of the coolest events of the year in Tokyo recently.

Le Baron de Paris Club (which after the success of the London Olympics immediately billed itself as ‘The main stadium for Tokyo nightlife’) was the venue for our exclusive ‘Creators Night’.

We invited top photographers, stylists, make-up artists, models and other creatives to come and boogie the evening away and chat about their projects and their experiences – while we did some shooting with our flagship H4D-60 camera. Take a look at the video below or on Hasselblad tv.

Paul Waterworth, Hasselblad’s Global Photographer Relations Manager, said: “Le Baron de Paris is the number one place to be in Tokyo for top ‘movers and shakers’ and those out there at the cutting edge of street culture - so we shot some video and some stills in the lounge and on the dance floor. We demonstrated latest Hasselblad equipment and the results of the model shoots on iPads and laptops in a jam-packed nightclub environment - everyone had an absolute ball.”
